60% of all Dauntless parties are cross-platform thanks to Phoenix Labs’ “One Dauntless” initiative.

Phoenix Labs has announced that Dauntless, since officially launching on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC last week, has surpassed six million players, doubling its player count since the PC Open Beta.

In addition, Dauntless’ Slayers (players) have reached some impressive milestones in this short time-frame, including going on over 20 million hunts, slaying 13 million Behemoths, playing a collective 15 million hours, forging 25 million weapons, and, perhaps most importantly, petting a TON of dogs.

As for Dauntless’ “One Dauntless” initiative, which allows full cross-play and cross-progressions across all platforms, Phoenix Labs has reported that 60% of all parties are in fact cross-platform parties forĀ this first game to launch with PS4 cross-play with other platforms.

Dauntless first entered PC Open Beta last year and is still scheduled to be released on Nintendo Switch and Mobile later this year, and they will indeed be part of the “One Dauntless” promise.

Dauntless, which takes inspiration from the long-running Monster Hunter franchise, has a lot to be thankful for from the other player in the monster-slaying genre as Monster Hunter: World actually helped Dauntless’ player base grow.
