Activision is expected to announce a new Call of Duty game by the end of June, but it looks like some of the details might have already been leaked online. According to a report from Eurogamer who has heard from their sources, 2019’s Call of Duty title will be called Modern Warfare.

Isn’t there already a Modern Warfare though? Yes, but these will be two very different and separate titles. It does make things confusing. This year’s Call of Duty will be developed by Infinity Ward, who was also behind the Modern Warfare titles. Why the super confusing naming? We have no idea. However several other sources have since “confirmed” that this is true.

We don’t have any details about the game at the moment, but the announcement is expected at the end of May. This is like the time EA decided to launch a Battlefield game called Battlefield 1. Things can get confusing with names.

This was launched after there were sequels to the Battlefield franchise, but it was meant to show that the game would be taking place during World War 1. Anyway, we should get an announcement soon and then we will learn more about this game and the name.
