Huawei released the P30 Lite a while ago but that may not be where it ends for the company’s P-Lite phones this year, as a new report claims that a P20 Lite (2019) is on the way. We’re not sure why exactly such a device would exist, as the Huawei P20 was a 2018 release. Making a refreshed version of a phone released last year doesn’t make much sense, especially since a direct successor has already been launched.
In any case, going by Winfuture’s report, the P20 Lite (2019) will sport a 5.84-inch FHD+ LCD display. It eschews a notch in favor of a camera punch-hole, just like we saw with the Nova 4 and Honor View 20. The punch-hole is said to house a 16 MP or 24 MP sensor.
The most interesting part of the device is its rear camera setup. There look to be four sensors at the back of the phone. The main snapper is said to be 24 MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. It will likely be joined by an ultra-wide camera and a depth sensor. The last sensor is up in the air.
The P20 Lite (2019) will be powered by the Kirin 710, Huawei mid-range SoC for the year. It could come standard with 4 GB of RAM with storage options reaching up to 128 GB. Prices remain unknown but we expect it to start around €250.
