Of the many, many memes spawned by the announcement of <\/a>Pokemon Sword<\/a> and Shield, perhaps the most popular (or at least the one I saw stolen and reposted the most) was the logo for a third version \u2013 Pokemon Gun. As it turns out, some didn’t notice the joke.<\/p>\n

As posted by Twitter user Cin Ceja<\/a>, Mexican newspaper La Voz de\u00a0Michoac\u00e1n printed logos for Sword, Shield and Gun alongside its news piece about the new games:<\/p>\n

The full article<\/a>\u00a0actually doesn’t mention Gun, so it seems someone in the picture department may have some explaining to do.<\/p>\n

To be fair, it is a very good fake. The original image, by Twitter user Sir5000<\/a>\u00a0nails the imagery and stylised fonts of the real logos:<\/p>\n
