Before there were skirmishes, royales and the World Cup, there was Friday Fortnite.

Hosted by KEEMSTAR, a personality best known for his Drama Alert show, Friday Fortnite was the largest Fortnite competition each week before Epic announced their support.

Once Epic organized their own Fortnite esports, they capped the prize pools for community tournaments at $20,000.

With more competition and less money to offer, KEEMSTAR stopped hosting Friday Fortnite. But now the FaZe – Tfue drama has brought it back.

After FaZe Banks’ repeated claims that the organization only took $60,000 from Tfue, he offered to give the money back to him.

Because Tfue would never accept that offer, instead that $60,000 went to funding three weeks of Friday Fortnite.

This tournament is interesting because it is focused more on clout than it is Fortnite skill. Top players like 100T’s Ceice and Ghost Bizzle don’t have invites, while rapper Tory Lanez and YouTuber RiceGum are in the bracket.

You can see the full bracket below, even though only half of the spots have been filled so far, the bracket will auto-update as they enter more duos:

The rules for Friday Fortnite are simple. You and your duo drop into two random games, whichever duo has the most combined kills after both games moves on.

It’s double elimination and games run at the same time so the bracket moves pretty quickly.

There is still time for more duos to be added, and last time the event was held KEEMSTAR was able to get some other celebrities to compete in the event, hopefully he can tap into that star power again to fill out the bracket.

As you can expect, the event will happen next Friday and can be viewed through the UMG Twitch channel or on all the individual streams of the people playing.
