Beep, a chain of stores known for selling retro video games and PCs, announced that they are entering the video game publishing industry with their ‘Super Arrange Project’, starting with the tentatively-named Cotton Reboot, coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. For those unfamiliar with Cotton: Fantastic Night Dreams, it’s a shmup by Success that released as an arcade game, and was then brought to PCs and consoles. The series follows the witch Cotton, and her search through fantastical kingdoms while riding her broom for the magical Willow candies. It began a subgenre of shmups called cute ‘em ups.

Cotton Reboot takes the Sharp X68000 version of Cotton: Fantastic Night Dreams as a base, and brushes up the original game for current day systems. Apart from an Original Mode that , the game will also have a new Arrange Mode that is designed for the specs of modern hardware.

Apart from Cotton Reboot, Beep also announced that they are re-releasing the X68000 version of the game that came out 26 years ago, floppy disks and all. These physical versions will be made to order, and will release first this summer.

Cotton Reboot is in development for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.
