Torchic is finally getting its turn to be the star of a Pokémon Go Community Day.

The event will run from 3-6 p.m. in your local time zone on May 19. Note that this isn’t on Saturday, when most Community Days take place, but on a Sunday. The Community Day will feature higher Torchic spawn rates, but also tripled Stardust from caught Pokémon.

Torchic isn’t a super rare spawn, but definitely worth collecting to at least fill in your Pokédex and get a solid fire-type attacker.

How do I get a Shiny Torchic?

Shiny Torchic will spawn during this event period, and with it will come Shiny Combusken and Blaziken as well. After the event is over, wild Torchics will have a change to spawn Shiny, but as a much lower rate. The chance to get a Shiny on a Community Day is about one in 24, according to Silph Road research. (The regular chance to get a Shiny is about one in 450.) If you keep checking all the Torchics spawning around you, you’re bound to find a golden bird.

What’s the special move for Blaziken?

Blaziken will learn Blast Burn when evolved during the event, which makes it the best fire-type attacker in the game.

Players should evolve their Torchics into Blazikens before 7 p.m. in their local time on May 19 to get the special move.

How do I make the most out of Community Day?

Use Starpieces throughout the event and catch everything. Stardust is one of the most important resources in Pokémon Go and upgrading you Pokémon to max past level 33 can cost 8,000 Stardust per upgrade. You also never know when your buddy has a rare Shiny or Legendary they’re willing to share with you, which will cost a whopping 40,000 for Best Friends and even more for any tier below that.

With Blast Burn, Blaziken will be the best fire-type attacker in the game. You likely want to collect one or two to have add to your raiding team. Stocking up on Blazikens will help take down potential future raid targets, like the steel-type Cobalion or the grass-type Virizion.

Note that without Blast Burn, Blaziken is a better fighting-type attacker than it is a fire-type attacker. If you miss the Community Day chance to get the special move, you should give any high IV Blazikens you catch a moveset featuring Counter and Focus Blast.
